Cheek Filler Treatment
Cheek augmentation to contour and add volume
Cheek filler is a hugely popular treatment for people of all ages. It involves using a high density hyaluronic acid filler to create a more youthful appearance. The hyaluronic acid also helps to hydrate the midfacial area, helping the skin to look its best.
In younger people, the focus tends to be on creating sharper and more defined cheekbones. This produces the look of a more contoured face, without the need to enhance this with make up.
In older patients, as well as creating more contoured cheekbones, we focus more on filling the apples of the cheeks. As we age, we lose midfacial volume, which then creates the look of sagging skin and lower facial jowls. By replacing this lost volume, we can produce a non-invasive, non-surgical “mini face-lift” effect. As well as lifting the cheeks, the lower face (jowls, nasolabial and marionette lines) also appears lifted, and the area underneath the eyes looks less hollow too.
Typical areas of concern include:
-
Enhancing the appearance of contoured cheekbones
-
Correcting midfacial volume loss
-
Lifting the lower face and reducing the appearance of jowls
-
Helping to slow down the ageing process
Cheek fillers typically last between 12-18 months, but this can vary slightly based on individual metabolism and other lifestyle factors.
