Jawline and Chin Filler
Rejuvenation for the lower face
Jawline fillers are used to enhance the profile and create facial balance by sharpening the jaw and strengthening the jawline. This involves using a high-density hyaluronic acid filler and typically a cannula is used to ensure smooth and even delivery of the filler across the length of the jaw.
Chin filler is used to add length to the face from the front view, create protrusion of the chin from the profile view, or a combination in order to balance the face as a whole. Dermal filler in this area can also change the shape of the chin, either to make it appear slimmer or more square, depending on the desired overall look.
We can create a slimmer looking jawline and chin for a more feminine look, or a wider-set jawline for a more masculine appearance. The amount of filler we would recommend for this area typically ranges from 2-4ml, but this can vary based on your desired outcome.
Whilst results for the treatment are instantly visible, the full results are achieved at 2-3 weeks post-treatment. We recommend drinking plenty of water to allow the hyaluronic acid to absorb as much water as possible for the most defined look.
Typical areas of concern include:
-
Defining the jawline and sharpening the mandibular angle
-
Creating a slimmer appearance to the lower face
-
Improving the look of decreased chin projection due to loss of bone structure eg. caused by aging
-
Treating a sagging jawline that merges with the neck
-
Creating a wider-set jawline
-
Disguising the jowls either side of the chin
Jawline and chin fillers typically last between 12-18 months, but this can vary slightly based on individual metabolism and other lifestyle factors.
